Steal an Egg Crane: How to Get Crane & Unlock Sakura Incubator
Learn how to get the Crane in Steal an Egg on Roblox, bypass the Kitsune Guardian with 2.5B speed, and unlock the Sakura Incubator for Bloom mutations.
The Crane is one of the most crucial Epic pets in Roblox Steal an Egg. While its passive cash generation is solid, the true value of the Crane lies in its unique progression role: it is the exact item needed to unlock the Sakura Incubator, the gateway to end-game pet mutations. For the full rare pet ladder and where the Crane sits within it, see our rare pets guide.
In this guide, we break down the Crane's stats in Steal an Egg, the speed needed to steal its egg safely, and the step-by-step process to sacrifice it for the Sakura Incubator upgrade.
Crane Stat Overview & Egg Specs
Before heading into the Cherry Blossom biome, you need to know what you are looking for. The Crane hatches from a distinct egg guarded deep inside the Kitsune's den.
| Attribute | Parameter & Value |
|---|---|
| Rarity Tier | Epic |
| Biome Location | Cherry Blossom Biome |
| Base Cash Production | $4,000 / sec ($4K/s) |
| Base Speed Stat Bonus | +2,700,000 Speed (+2.7M) |
| Purchase / Hatch Cost | $400,000 Cash |
| Egg Appearance | Pink top with two dark purple lines |
| Guarding Creature | Kitsune Guardian |
The base numbers look modest for an endgame biome — and that is by design. The Crane is a key pet, not a stat powerhouse: its job is to unlock the Sakura Incubator, after which its mutated form multiplies these base stats by 10x–100x (see the Mutated Form section below). For how mutations scale income across all rarities, see our pet mutations guide.
How to Get the Crane in Steal an Egg
Stealing a Crane egg requires careful timing and massive movement speed. Follow these steps to secure one without being wiped out by the Kitsune.
- Train speed to 2.5B+ on the treadmill — our Base Upgrades guide covers the fastest treadmill leveling path.
- Travel to the Cherry Blossom biome, past the Cosmic zone.
- Identify the pink-topped egg with two dark purple lines in the Kitsune's nest.
- Grab the egg and outrun the Kitsune Guardian back to your base.
- Hatch the Crane in your base incubator. Equip Auto-Hatch from the Gamepasses page to cycle incubators continuously while you farm.
Speed Threshold Requirement
The minimum recommended movement speed for the Cherry Blossom zone is 2.5 Billion Speed (2.5B), with 2.5B–3B+ being the safe range. The Kitsune Guardian moves exceptionally fast and carries a wide hit box; if caught, you are launched back to the Abyss Ocean biome and lose the egg. Note that this 2.5B is the biome entry / steal threshold — it is separate from the Crane's own +2.7M equipped speed bonus, which only stacks on top of the speed you already built to get there.
Identifying the Right Egg
Once inside the Kitsune's territory, look specifically for eggs with a bright pink top and dark purple horizontal stripes. Avoid the standard eggs in the surrounding nests so you do not waste a trip.
How to Unlock the Sakura Incubator Using the Crane
Once you successfully hatch a Crane, do not lock it away in your base pen forever — you must use it as a sacrificial item at the Sakura Blossom Tree.
- Equip the Crane to your active player inventory (take it out of the passive earning pen).
- Travel through the Cosmic zone until you reach the center of the Cherry Blossom biome, where the giant Sakura Tree stands.
- Submit the Crane at the tree's interaction prompt.
- Activation — the game plays a brief unlock sequence and permanently grants access to the Sakura Incubator.
Mutated Form: Bloom & Spirit Bloom Crane
Unlocking the Sakura Incubator is where the Crane's real payoff begins. Charging the incubator and hatching a Crane inside it rolls a Bloom or Spirit Bloom mutation, multiplying the base stats by roughly 10x–100x:
| Form | Cash Production | Speed Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Base Crane | $4K/s | +2.7M |
| Bloom / Spirit Bloom Crane | ~$40K–$400K/s+ (10x–100x) | ~+27M–270M (10x–100x) |
These are approximate ranges — the exact multiplier depends on the mutation tier rolled. Either way, the mutated Crane turns from a modest earner into a late-game income pet, which is exactly why players endure the 2.5B speed grind to get one. If you have duplicate Cranes, three identical ones can also be fused toward a higher rarity — run the numbers in our fuse calculator.
The Great Bloom Event & Pet Mutations
With the Sakura Incubator active, you gain access to end-game pet mutations through The Great Bloom Event:
- The event spawns glowing Sakura trees across the map.
- Harvest 1,000+ Sakura Crystals by hitting those trees with your bat (collect 1,500 for a full 100% charge).
- Charge the Sakura Incubator with the crystals.
- Hatch mutated pets — any standard stolen egg placed in the charged incubator has a significantly boosted chance to roll Bloom or Spirit Bloom mutations, multiplying its base cash value and speed stats.
